BRISTOW-HOLMES SUPPORTS COGS4CANCER

Events -

Bristow-Holmes was delighted to co-sponsor and take part in this year’s Cogs4Cancer Long Distance Charity Cycling Event.

In its third year now Cogs4Cancer has established itself as one of the marine industry’s leading cycling fund raising events.

Previous years have seen a team of amateur cyclists take on a challenging 5-day long distance ride from both Spain to Antibes and from Italy to Antibes.

This year saw the team grow to 30 Riders including Bristow-Holmes Founder Harry Bristow-Holmes (in his first cycling event since taking up the sport in June this year!) take on their biggest challenge yet.

London to Antibes, a staggering distance of 1,400km in just 10 Days!

“Cogs4Cancer is an incredible charity, founded just 4 years ago by Chairmen Ben Young of Superyacht Management and Bristow-Holmes is thrilled to be involved in their toughest challenge yet. Cancer is unfortunately a disease which has/will touch all of us in some way or another.”

Speaking to Bristow-Holmes at the finish line of this year’s event Harry Bristow-Holmes comments “Being part of the Cogs4Cancer team has been amazing, everyone pulled together to ensure our team of 30 Amateur cyclists made it to the finish together. It’s been a gruelling 10 days but we had incredible weather and a fantastic laugh along the way”.

We’re delighted to announce that the Cogs4Cancer team have smashed their target and successfully raised over 300,000 Euros on this year’s ride. Taking the total from the 3 rides so far to over 1,000,000 Euros!

Every penny raised goes to Charity with the team of riders covering their own costs from the offset. Cogs4Cancer is a non-profit organisation.
