Located in Ameglia, Viareggio and La Spezia, Italy SANLORENZO is stooped in history and expertise in the yacht industry. Established in 1958 by Giuliano Pecchia and Gianfranco Cecchi.

The shipyard was relocated to the well known and respected Via Reggio in 1975,  by new owner Giovanni Jannetti. From there they began the transformation from manufacturing wooden vessels to fibreglass. In 2005, Massimo Perotti, former Managing Director of Azimut-Benetti took over and under his management the shipyard saw its value of production rapidly expand from €40 million in 2004 to €320 million in 2017.

Today “Sanlorenzo ranks as the third shipyard in the world in the construction of yachts above 24 metres.” (ShowBoats International’s Global Order Book 2017)

Their notability is partly down to their experienced labor and traditions passed down through families based in their primary production facilities, Ameglia, Viareggio and Massa. These skilled craftsmen utilise an immaculate handcrafted finish that has become a well known quality of SANLORENZO Super Yachts. Their willingness to help their customer to create a unique customised yacht has meant that buyers return time and time again.

SANLORENZO are riding the wave into 2018 and giving shape to this iconic shipyards future. The’ve adapted with the times, most notably their customer base has expanded away from mainly Europeans to Americans,Russians, Eastern Europeans and Asians. With this change in customer, new needs and desires need addressing, such as larger windows in the hull and superstructure, and hydraulic bathing platforms. These along with other elements have and are being reworked into the infamous yachts created by SANLORENZO so that they continue to move with the ever changing times in the yachting industry.

New & Noteworthy – “SX88”

With the Success of the 460 XP Explorer Yacht, SANLORENZO have created a hybrid that offers customers the classic features of a flybridge motor yacht with the recent expanding and popular explorer range.
