Overview

The 77-metre Damen built LA DATCHA is a rare breed indeed. Not only has she been built by Damen to withstand the harshest of environments and reach the most remote of destinations in utmost safety, but she does so whilst offering her guests the highest levels of luxury.

With an ice-classed steel hull, this six-deck yacht may look every inch the Caribbean showstopper, but she is so much more: an Ice Class yacht, she has 40 days of full autonomy, making her cruising ground limitless.

Being IMO Polar Code compliant, LA DATCHA is designed with major expeditions in mind, from the Arctic to the Antarctic. Guests can watch whales breaching mere metres away from their front-row seat in the Observation Lounge, or jump into one of three tenders for an even closer encounter.

LA DATCHA offers luxury accommodation for up to 12 guests across six elegant cabins, including two masters and one VIP. Her interiors are timeless, in muted shades, offering a relaxing sanctuary after a busy day of polar exploration.

There is a Jacuzzi on deck, or guests can visit the wellness centre to warm up in the Turkish Hammam, take an invigorating shower under the ice fountain, or unwind with a massage in the dedicated treatment room. For more active guests, there’s a fully-serviced gym with sea-views, plus a fully-certified dive centre.

In addition, LA DATCHA comes with two commercially certified and operated helicopters – helping guests get to the places others can’t – two beach lander tenders, two expeditions RIBs and two snow scooters. There’s even a three-person submersible for exploring beneath the water’s surface – imagine seeing the secret subterranean worlds from the comfort of your own submarine.
